Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 August 2026

This policy explains how Freetide AI (ABN 91 380 623 818), based in Melbourne, Australia (“Freetide”, “we”, “us”), handles the personal information you share with us through this website. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you fill in our contact form, we collect the details you provide: your name, business name, phone number, email address, trade or industry, a description of your situation, and how urgent it is.

If you call, text or email us, we keep the contents of that conversation and your contact details so we can reply and follow up.

With your consent, we also collect usage information about how you browse this site — pages viewed, clicks, scroll behaviour, approximate location, device and browser — through the third-party analytics tools described below. Those do not load until you accept analytics on the consent banner, and you can decline.

Separately, and without needing your consent, we keep a simple record of each visit to this site: the pages you opened and their order, the site you arrived from (or the campaign link you clicked), and whether you were on a phone, tablet or computer. We keep it so we can see whether our own website is working — for example, how many people reach the contact page and leave without getting in touch, which usually means something on the page is broken.

This record stays with us. It sets no cookie, contains no identifier that could follow you to another website, and does not include your IP address or your name unless you go on to fill in the form. We delete it after 90 days. If you submit the form, the visit is linked to your enquiry so we can see what you were reading before you got in touch.

Why we collect it

  • To respond to your enquiry and follow up with you.
  • To understand your business and scope, quote and deliver our services.
  • To improve this website and how we communicate.
  • To keep accurate business records and meet our legal obligations.

Cookies & analytics consent

We only load analytics cookies and session-analytics tools after you accept them on the consent banner. If you decline, they are not loaded. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which will show the banner again.

Our own visit record described above is not covered by that banner, because it sets no cookie and shares nothing with anyone else. If you would rather we did not keep it, email us and we will remove it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run our business, and only so they can perform their function for us:

  • Google Analytics (Google) — website usage analytics (with your consent).
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — aggregated behaviour analytics and session insights (with your consent). Form input values are masked and not captured.
  • n8n — workflow automation that routes your enquiry to us.
  • Supabase — secure database hosting where your enquiry is stored.
  • Resend — email delivery, so your enquiry reaches us.
  • Cal.com — scheduling, if you book a call with us.

Some of these providers store or process information on servers outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including access controls and storing data with reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it’s wrong. Email us at hello@freetide.ai and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal information, contact us first at hello@freetide.ai so we can try to sort it out. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
